Teacher Salary Reclassification Request

Deadline

When all requirements have been successfully completed for the next salary classification, documentary evidence must be presented to Human Resources by August 31st or January 31st.  

If for reasons beyond the control of the SEA unit member, documentary evidence cannot be presented by such dates, a forty-five (45) day extension shall be granted.  

Upon approval, reclassification shall be made effective on September 1st, or February 1st, respectively.  

No reclassification shall reflect a percentage of less than fifty (50%) of the appropriate high classification on Schedule A. (Article 4F)


Documentation

A letter from the university stating completion of a particular program will be accepted pending receipt of an official transcript.

Transcripts

Official, sealed transcripts must be sent directly from the college or university.  Copies will not be accepted.


Note:   Reclassification to BA+15 and MA +15 is limited to one three-year period, as per SEA Contract Article 4 D paragraph E.
